Originally, de Buyer created the CHOC collection for professional cooks in need of long lasting nonstick pans to cook delicate dishes (fish fillet, veggies for example) or re-heat some of their preparation at low to medium temperatures.   De Buyer's CHOC combination of an ultra-thick 4 mm aluminum skirt covered with a high-quality 5-layer nonstick safe coating (guaranteed without PFOA) offers much improved resistance to abrasion, chocs and heat distortion than any other nonstick pan brands. Before CHOC, professional cooks with daily heavy use had to change their nonstick pan every few months. With CHOC, they can now use their nonstick pans daily for a few years.  And we, chefs amateurs, can now enjoy the same quality!


The solid riveted traditional French curved handle is made of a special epoxy steel allowing oven cooking up to 260°C. It provides an effortless and comfortable grip.


Cooking tips: Choc fish oval pan is ideal for cooking a whole fish using low fat or any wide piece of meat, or good portions of vegetables, potatoes. Cook your fish, stuffed tomatoes, gratins on your cooktops and in oven: super convenient!

Cooktops: All cooktops except induction. Thanks to its special handle, it can be used for oven cooking up to 260 degrees Celsius.

Care & Wash:

  • Do not heat when empty or overheat
  • Do not use nonstick pan on powerful heat. Nonstick pans are made to be used on low to medium power heat sources.
  • Avoid temperature shocks
  • Do not use metal objects in the cookware
  • Wash by hand only, with a non-abrasive sponge
