RETURN & EXCHANGE  POLICY

Orders delivered in Taiwan

 

To provide you with the best online shopping experience, De Buyer Taiwan e-store provides the flexibility of a 7 days unconditional return policy, from the date of receipt of your order as provided by the forwarder. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the goods you have purchased, you can return the brand-new goods you’ve ordered and apply for a full refund or exchange. Please refer to the "Quick Return Checklist" below.

 

Please note that the appreciation period is not a trial period. When handling a return or exchange, the product must be in its original new state with its complete packaging. Please pay attention to maintaining the integrity of the product, its accessories, the gifts associated if any, the warranty, its original packaging and all accompanying documents or information. Do not miss any accessories or damage the original box. If the returned goods cannot be restored to their original states and packaging, it may affect your rights for exchange or refund.

 

Please return the product you ordered with the same original packaging box and protective filling material. If the returned product is returned without cushioning material, our return checking team may receive your product damaged during transportation, and lead to the non-acceptance of your return. Thank you for your understanding.

 

If the goods you received are faulty or you have received incorrect items, please contact our customer service through the order backstage message function to inform us.

※If the goods cannot be returned directly due to damage caused by human factors, we will contact you by phone to elaborate the best process.

※de Buyer Online Shopping provides only one free shipping return per order. Returns are costly and have environmental impacts. Therefore, please carefully consider before returning the product. In case of a second return within 7 days, please contact our customer service first to get the address of delivery and send the returned product to the receiving address by yourself, at your own cost. If you return your product without prior contact with our customer service, your return will probably be refused by our warehouse which needs an identification of every parcels they receive for security reasons.

※In case the parcel returned is not complete (missing accessories, gifts, documents, packaging…), please return the missing elements carefully packed by yourself to the receiving address provided by the customer service staff.

 

 

Orders delivered outside of Taiwan (cross-border orders)

DE BUYER Taiwan e-store provides the flexibility of a 7 days unconditional return policy, from the date of receipt of your order as provided by the forwarder. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the goods you have purchased, you can return the brand-new goods you’ve ordered and apply for a full refund of your purchase. However, the return shipping cost will be at your expense, except if the product is returned for a manufacturing default reason validated by our team, with an exchange for an identical new product at our full cost (the return shipping cost is covered if a refund is chosen over an exchange).

 

To avoid unnecessary additional shipping costs, please read the product information in detail before placing an order; if you need some advice, please use our online customer service.

 

Except in the case of a validated manufacturing default, we do not provide product exchange services for outside of Taiwan.  If after receiving the product you wish to replace it by another one, you have to go through our product return and refund process and place a new order of the desired product. Be aware that the shipping cost of the return will be deduced from your refund if we proceed with the return ourselves, and your new purchase will be submitted to delivery shipping cost.

Shopping at our de Buyer brick & mortar Flagship Store

 

1. The rules Return & Exchange policy for online shopping are not applied to purchases in store. It means that for in-store purchase, we do not accept any return and exchange, even within 7 days of your purchase, except in case of manufacturing defaults. 

2. Special offers such as End of series sales, displayed product sales, specified minor defaults sales are not opened to any exchange or return possibility. Consumers are requested to confirm the product conditions and content when purchasing at the store.

3. DE BUYER offers more than 1,000 products, ranging from cookware, bakeware, utensils, slicers, knives…Therefore, each product has a different warranty coverage according to the material and series level. For detailed product warranty coverage, please refer to each product description of the official website. If there is no special or detailed warranty description, normal use depreciation or damage due to personal use habits not compatible with the product are not covered by the warranty.

4. Your membership is valid and cumulated for both our purchases in our flagship store and online store. You can enjoy in both the special offer to members only and cumulate your purchase amounts to receive additional store credits. However, the store credits can only be used online. Our flagship store computing system does not manage the deduction of the store credits.

5. The official website of DE BUYER in Taiwan is www.debuyer.com.tw. For any online purchase advice on our official e-store, please use our online customer service or our official LINE account. Both our online customer service and our flagship store cannot provide any advice nor accept any return and exchange which concern other distribution channels, such as online channels PCHOME, MOMO, YAHOO... 

 

Quick check-list before returning

 

1. Is your return within the limit of 7 days?
 
2. If there are any labels, are they intact and attached to the item?
 
3. Do the returned items keep the same appearance, unwashed, as if they were just delivered?
 
4. Does the returned item still have the original packaging and shipping box?
 
5. Does the returned item match our return policy?
 
6. Are the returned items neatly and securely packaged, with a return form attached, and are they ready for being picked up?
 
We remind you that you bear the responsibility of the product returned until we receive it. It means that would the product be damaged during its delivery process to our warehouse, we would not be able to accept your return. That is why it is very important to keep its original packaging and shipping box with the cushion material to return it. Once you have checked everything is ready, you can return the goods you purchased!

Refund & Special attention required before purchasing

 

※Since debuyer.com.tw sell food utensils, the product cannot be returned or exchanged if it has been opened or used for hygiene and safety reason. 


※Customized products cannot be returned 


※Accepted Exchange of goods: the new goods will be sent to the original order address. In case you wish to modify the address of delivery, additional delivery fee may occur.


※Full refund: after receiving the returned goods and confirming our acceptance, you will receive a refund notice in about 7 days. If you paid by credit card, we would directly contact your card issuing bank to issue your refund. Your refund amount should be then confirmed in your next credit card statement, or you can also contact your card issuing bank.


※Partial refund: if your order was paid by credit card, a partial refund will be refunded through your original card issuing bank.
※Additional handling fee for refund: In the case the order would need to be refunded by bank transfer, the bank handling fee would be borne by the consumer. For cross-border shopping fees, please contact your bank.


※If you paid by bank transfer, we would refund your order by bank transfer to your designated bank account. 


※Any additional cost such as return fees would be deduced from the amount of your order to be refunded based on our return policy described before.


※Promotions & Membership privileges adjustment:  in case of return, the calculation of the refund would include the deduction of promotions and privilege the returned goods would have contributed to reach. 


※Store credit will be returned to your member’s account within 1~3 days after the refund is completed.
